To ensure operation of the unit is safety.But configuration of SIS is whether really meet the safety requirements or not, which will need to analysis SIL.In this paper according to the consequences and risks of safety instrumented function failure, the different SIL. Through the analysis of natural gas purification plant SIF characteristics, determine the SIL classification and SIL verification method. Applicating in natural gas purification plant and designing the calculation software and combing with the factory production process characteristics to put forward measures for improving SIS.
