In order to meet the energy demand, China now has started to verify and develop some of the high sulfur gas filed. Gas field development will inevitably affect the ecological environment. Especially when there are abnormal sulphur dioxide emissions during the production period of the natural gas purification plant, the regional plant near the purification plant will suffered serious damage. This paper take a large high-sulfur gas field development project in the northeast of Sichuan as an example, useing the BREEZE AERMOD software and much multi-chimney pattern to predict the distribution range and ground concentrations of SO2in the abnormal conditions of discharge of the purification plant after analyzing the intensity of emission source under abnormal conditions of the gas purification plant, then combining the prediction results to analyze the impact on the plants and proposing countermeasures. This reaerach can not only enrich the content of ecology environment protection in the field of Gas field development project, but also be beneficial to the ecology safety and the_biodiversity protection of the development zone.Using the BREEZE AERMOD software and the multi-chimney pattern and combining the meteorology and landscape of the region where the program locates, we have conducted the predictive research about the distribution characteristics of sulfur dioxide discharged by the purification plant which was in the condition of abnormal operation and accidental mode respectively in the square predictive area with14kilometers'side length. The results indicate that the hour concentration of sulfur dioxide discharged by the purification plant when it operates in4working condition modes exceeds the standards in a51.56km2~182.22km2region, and the average daily consistency exceeds the standards in a13.33km2~92.89km2area; when the predominant emission of wind direction is NE, the hour concentration of feed gas and acid gas venting sulfur dioxide outstrips the standards in a24.25km2area and a Okm2area, and when wind calms, the dimensions of the districts where the hour concentration of sulfur dioxide surpasses the standards are19.62km, Okm2.The analytical results which are based on current status investigation on regional vegetation and its present distribution map, combining with the prediction results on distribution character of abnormal sulphur dioxide emissions from purification plant conclude that:there will be some certain hour concentration exceed standard area of sulphur dioxide emissions under abnormal working conditions and with some certain acute injury occur to approximate0.01km2of wheat,0.03km2of wheat in the situation of abnormal operation; when northeastern prevailing wind synchronizes with accidental feed gas emissions, may some certain acute injury occur to approximate0.01km2of wheat,3.798km2of rice and0.874km2of corn, respectively.According to analysis results of the impact on regional vegetation by the purification's sulfur dioxide abnormal emissions, proposed the emergency measures of plant damage by abnormal emissions and the monitoring program in abnormal discharge area, and provided technical guidance for vegetation protection in project area.
