Surface spraying is an important part of the manufacturing process of plastic toys, which is most completed by traditional hand-sprayed with low efficiency. In recent years, there has been plastic toy automatic spraying machine on the market gradually. To some extent, the automatic spraying machine improves the quality and efficiency of the toy surface spraying and betters the operator’s working environment, reducing the intensity of the work. But it only sprays a single color for plastic toys and it has low degree of automation. The subsequent multi-color plastic toy automatic spraying machine has been greatly modified. A single sprayer can spray more than one color for plastic toys. But it has great limitation which is only suitable for using side-mode spraying plastic toys. And it still exists a series of questions, such as complex structure, great vibration and instability in quality of spraying.For the above problems, this paper conducts the research on a single spraying machine of plastic toys in various colors rotary automatic spraying methods, designs multi-color plastic toy automatic spraying machine. It overcomes the limitation of using side-mode spraying plastic toys and the difficulties in plastic toys automatic transfer between different stations. Spraying plastic toys, cleaning injection mold and doffing toys can be achieved automatically. It’s suitable for different shapes of plastic toys. The main works of this paper are as follows.First, introduces the background and significance of this paper, describes the research status at home and abroad on spraying robot and multi-color plastic toy automatic spraying equipment, coming up with the research contents.Second, according to the requirements of spraying plastic toys, designs rotary table station layout and linear motion station layout, determines the overall structure of the automatic multi-color plastic toys spraying machine by using linear motion station layout, details analysis of the transfer process and spraying process for plastic toys of the automatic multi-color plastic toys spraying machine.Third, according to analysis of the transfer process and spraying process for plastic toys, combines with structural design requirements, designs the transfer device of plastic toys. The transfer device of plastic toys is composed of mobile modules and reciprocating mechanisms, and the structure of the spray mold clamp structure and movable support seat are designed in detail, then the reciprocating mechanism is designed in detail by adopting the synchronous belt transmission system. According to the design criteria and requirements of the frame, the frame of the spraying machine is designed, and the structure layout of the plastic toy transmission device is determined.Fourth, analyzes and Researches on the vibration in the process of transfer of plastic toys, establishes the vibration equation of the synchronous belt drive system and the movement of the mobile module of the reciprocating mechanism, analyzed the stability of the synchronous belt drive and the structure of the mobile module, analyzed vibration mode of spray mold clamp structure by finite element analysis software ANSYS, extracts low order natural frequency. The structure of the spray mold clamp is improved based on the working frequency of the spraying machine.
