High speed and high precision machining performance has become the main trends in the development of machine tools industry and a high demand of the dynamic behavior of machine tools system is necessary in this area.Axis gearbox system is the most complex and key part in machine tools system and its dynamic behavior directly determines the dynamic characteristics of machine tools system. Therefore,it is very necessary to do dynamic analysis on axis gearbox system.Based on the co-project of "Establishing Technique Center of Kunming Mill Machine Factory",dynamics analysis and applied research on the XK8140 numerical control universal tool milling machine's axis gearbox system are finished,with the purpose of improving machines' speed of rotation and the dynamic behavior of machine tools.In this paper,the enclosure part,the transformation part of the plane headstock transmission system and the whole system of model of the finite element theory are established by software ANSYS.The major works are as follows:The first,enclosure structure was analyzed in the aspect of infinite element statics as well as the enclosure of intensity and stiffness was checked.Meanwhile,to analyze the rationality of the enclosure structure of design is also a necessary step.The second,to do the finite element model computation on the plane headstock transmission system by using Block Lanczos algorithm in order to get the first twenty inherent frequency and inherent vibration figure of the system.Through analysis,a clear understanding on the situation of coupling vibration of whole axis gearbox system is established.Besides,on the basis of model computation,forced harmonic vibration and transient vibration analysis are finished by using ANSYS then came to the system's frequency dynamic response curve.The result is that the system will resonate near these four inherent as 874Hz,1024Hz,1529Hz,1918Hz.In the analysis of transient response,the plumb direction acceleration curve and displacement response curve of the key nodes on the surface of headstock are computed.The computation of these key nodes' plumb direction acceleration mean square root is also needed.Last but not least,an analysis about the experiments of axis gearbox system's dynamics characteristics is also necessary.The plumb direction acceleration time course curve the acceleration-time response and the spectrum curve of the tested point on the surface of the headstock is the results of the computation.The results of the comparison between acceleration square root of the tested value and the theoretically computed value are basically identical.Till now,the established model is proved correctly.
