In China, fuel ethanol enterprises belongs to emerging industry, and its use as a substitute for fuel has broad market and prospects. China had began to try to use vehicle fuel ethanol gasoline in Henan Province and Heilongjiang Province till now. Then, China continued to try to use vehicle fuel ethanol gasoline in Jilin Province Liaoning Province and Anhui Province. We have a mature and reliable technology in the production, mixing, transportation, storage, sales and other aspects of the vehicle fuel ethanol gasoline after years of pilot and spread. The enterprises have the full load capacity of 1020000 tons/year after been constructed and put into operation in our country up to now. According to the calculation of fuel ethanol content in mixed gasoline by 10%, the capacity of 10200000 tons of bio ethanol gasoline in China has been formed. But in the process of production fuel ethanol, there will be a large number of high concentration of organic wastewater, and the domestic has not mature and reliable technology for fuel ethanol wastewater.Based on reading a lot of domestic and foreign literature, this paper discusses the principle and process of the processing technology of the fuel ethanol wastewater, and makes a careful investigation of the wastewater treatment project in Sichuan area and domestic fuel ethanol enterprises, and analyzes their respective advantages and disadvantages. Selecting anaerobic treatment of fuel ethanol wastewater as research object due to maximal Processing efficiency, focuses on the study of UASB anaerobic reactor treatment process and EGSB anaerobic reactor treatment process in different conditions of the treatment effect.We can know the result the two kinds of anaerobic reactors can achieve better treatment effect as the experimental of the EGSB reactor and UASB reactor of anaerobic section starting operation. The removal rate of CODcr in the EGSB anaerobic reactor can be maintained at more than 88%, and the pH is maintained at about 7.4. When the reactor is in stable running eventually after a series adjustment and practice in a period of time, under the condition of the influent load 23kgCOD/m3.d, the biogas yield can reach 40L/d. Compared with the UASB reactor, the EGSB reactor has the characteristics of short start-up period, increasing the organic load, high processing efficiency, and so on. At the same time, the EGSB reactor has a stronger ability to resist the change of pH and the temperature change, and the removal rate of CODcr is smaller. After the impact, the recovery to the original removal rate of CODcr is less time-consuming. Therefore, the EGSB process ability is better than the UASB process ability in used of fuel ethanol wastewater treatment process. If EGSB anaerobic reactor is used in the wastewater treatment of fuel ethanol. it can achieve good treatment effect. It is a very attractive anaerobic treatment technology which has great promotion value and wide application prospect.
