Since ancient times, China with vast territory and abundant resources is known around the world. Chinese not only has rich mineral resources but coal. Coal and petroleum, are non-renewable energy. Over this years, the economic development of our country relies on coal resources has made great development. But in recent years, along with the harmonious society and sustainable development, the state has made a series of adjustments to the coal resources industry, Enterprise transformation event happened now and then inside the coal industry. In particular, the coal mine turns to open pit coal mine, so the scale and quantity of the open pit coal mine is increasing continuously. So the research and design of opencast machine attracted everyone’s attention.In this paper, the research of opencast machine is different from the traditional opencast machine. This is a collection of mining, crushing and shipment with multi-function such as large open-air continuous coal mining equipment, thus has been widely concerned. At first, this article analyzes the development of coal mining technology and the research status of open-air coal winning machine technology, using the methods of literature, theory with practice this project carried on the thorough investigation and study. This paper introduces the general situation of the development of the our country open-air coal winning machine, and this article involves the open-air coal winning machine’s working environment and basic parameters. In this paper, the control system of opencast machine and hardware selection are analyzed and introduced. In order to make full use of cut on the cutting motor power, this research set up an automatic constant power control system to request high precision, the design by using fuzzy control principle to carry on the optimization. The simulation shows that the fuzzy controller can obviously improve the stability of the system. Finally, this paper applies the Kingview software design a opencast machine’s monitoring system, to ensure the safe operation of the whole system. Through the research of this paper, it can improve the performance of the surface coal mining machine.
