The phenomenon of vibration is an inextricable part of any machining processes and modern machine shops are well aware of its detrimental effects. Cutting vibrations can destabilize a machining process with severe implications for machine tool, machining quality, tool life. The present studies research on changing hang more deep, the handle and the amount of interference fit fixture or set vibration control system to influence the stability of system. The research on stability influenced by internal damping is less.Altering the damping materials between tool and fixture or interference fit between fixture and damping materials can improve inherent frequency and flutter stability of the system. In view of the vibration instability problems, establish consider damped blade-clamp system dynamic model of high speed milling tools. Changing the contact materials between tool and fixture, and the fit between contact material and fixture improve internal damping of the system. According to Lyapunov, obtain the relationship between the different damping materials or and the system’s dynamic characteristics and the stability.Build tool-clamp the three-dimensional model of high speed milling cutter system simulation. Through the modal analysis, random response analysis, obtains the changing the internal damping materials improves internal damping, increase the system’s inherent characteristics. By the Floquet, the damping ratio inproves chatter stability. Changing fit between the damping layer and the fixture increases rigidity of system increasing the system steady speed range.Build high speed milling cutter-fixture test platform, by the modal test, speed test and high speed cutting test It is concluded that the damping materials and the interference fit between fixture and damping materials influence the stability of the system. The experimental results is consistent with the simulation’s results.
