Research And Implementation On Oil Field Development Data Quality Assurance System

Data is the carrier of information. Whether data quality is good or bad will have a huge impact for enterprises on daily decisions and data application effects. Currently the database construction of each oil field companies all have made some progress, depending on the constraints of the database itself and related application to ensure the quality of the data. However, in the practical application process the progress still show a lot of deficiencies. In the case of large amount of data and historical data, the constraint of the database itself will lead to the insertion of data can’t be carried out. In order to ensure that large amounts of data can be inserted into the database, the oil field can only sacrifice the constraint function of the database itself, which usually causes its constraint can’t be displayed.A large number of error data still exist in the oil development database. So we can see that the oil field company is in urgent need of a set of data quality issues to check and control the system.This thesis is based on the project of "Research on the database quality control system of oil production plant". Using DAIC(Define-Assess-Improve-Control) quality control method to define the whole data quality assurance system, and carry out the corresponding design and implementation. First, the thesis analyzes the data quality problem existing in the database and data quality issues, and defines four kinds of data quality checking rules which includes the accuracy and integrity of data validation rules, as well as eleven dimension data quality control rules which includes constraints and items range constraint rules. Among them, the effect of the four kinds of data quality check rules is to give the overall quality condition by classified description, and the effect of data quality constraint rules is to be able to accurately describe the business rules of data management field. Secondly, the thesis designs the related meta model of data quality, the assessment algorithm and process of data quality, build a complete data quality check system to verify the quality condition of all or individual status in database accurately. Finally, the thesis designs modules such as data quality check result display, data early warning, role management, process management and so on, in order to ensure the data quality assurance system can visually display the data evaluation and validation results, and implement the reasonable division on role and job of data management staff in enterprise, ultimately, making the enterprise data management departments obtain a more accurate and timely evaluation about the situation of their own company’s internal data.The development of the data quality assurance system is mainly based on the actual situation and demand of the oil field development data, and has been put into use. It has played an important role in improving the quality of oilfield development data, and ensures that in the process of handling large amounts of data every day, still maintain a stable operation.
