A Study On Weaving Product Made By Suzhou Weaving Bureau And Its Technical Quality During Qianlong Period Of Qing Dynasty

The Rulers of Qing Dynasty setted Weaving Bureau in Jiangning, Suzhou and Hangzhou respectively. The three weaving bureaus are specific state-run silk industry production organizations. As one of the three Weaving Bureaus in the South, the main task of Suzhou Weaving Bureau was to make silk fabrics, embroideries and special articles for court life. The silk fabrics and embroideries were the main product supplied by Suzhou Weaving Bureau for Qing Dynasty Palace. This thesis takes the silk fabrics and embroideries made by Suzhou Weaving Bureau and their technical quality as the research center. It will make a careful study on specific types of the silk fabrics and embroideries, the transformation of the old silk fabrics and embroideries in Qing Dynasty Palace made by Suzhou Weaving Bureau, the exchange interaction between Suzhou Weaving Bureau and the Qing government on design idea, production technology and product quality assurance in the production process.
