Research Of Ornamental Crafts On Women Clothes In Late Qing Dynasty

The main purpose of this essay is to analyze and make researches of the decoration craft of women's wear in the period of time that between the ends of Qing Dynasty to the Period of Public of China, meanwhile to classify and analyze all sorts of elements which in the decoration craft of women's wear in that period of time. The main object of this research is the decoration craft for the daily dress and personal adornment of the majority of women.The main approach of the real item materials that used and mentioned by this essay is from Folk Clothing Practicing Studio of Jiangnan University, also the Chinese Silk Museum in Hangzhou and the Chinese textile and clothing Museum of Donghua University. The real items, which are the women's wear during the period between the ends of Qing Dynasty to the Period of Public of China, are collected by the above institutions. The detailed features of the decoration craft can be seen clearly through the real items. There are some supplements, including the pictures and word comment on the calendar.To start from the difference between the elements of the decoration craft, we can divide the decoration craft of women's wear into six aspects: craft material, color collocation, graphic pattern, appearance structure, technique and the inspiration and usage of the modern decoration design. Using the basic theory in costume decoration craft, we can do a synthetic analyze of the decoration craft in that specific time period. The method to analyze is the combination of theory and pictures.China period dress decorated crafting techniques and fine, mainly used are, rolling, collage, traditional handicraft, in this paper studies in data, it is most common, rolling, collage with the comprehensive use repeatedly with a garment, a collar and cuffs of the door and set, etc.The modern design of costume decoration and design of structure is obviously influenced by the decoration craft of women's wear between the ends of Qing Dynasty to the Period of Public of China. Combining the perception of the modern design and trend, we can carry forward the tradition skills in the modern design, while to combine the pure craft of decoration during the old period of time with the modern design flexibly and agilely.
