Plastic products are closely related to the daily life of human beings. With the improvement of living standards, in the pursuit of light, thin, beautiful, portable, at the same time, the requirement of performance and quality of plastic products are increasingly. However, there are many kinds of factors in the process of the thin wall injection molding, which can cause the deformation of the products, and ultimately lead to the decline of the performance and quality of plastic products, such as:the selection of the parameters, the design of the die structure, the properties of the material and the geometry structure of the product itself and so on. At present, most scholars choose to do research of process parameters for injection molding product quality optimization. Besides, in the general case, there is a basic requirement for the product itself, which makes the selection of materials often have limitations. And the design of the die structure will affected by product itself geometry structure. Therefore, the rationality design of the product structure is more important.In the technology to improve the quality of injection molding products, the research on shrinkage deformation caused by the geometrical structure of the product itself is limited, especially the limitation is much bigger in the thin-shell shaped product. Based on this, select the thin-walled shell product with multiple features and do the research of shrinkage deformation becomes more meaningful.Based on the research of the injection molding technology and feature modeling technology, in the study of the structure of thin-walled shell plastic as the breakthrough point, selected a certain type highlights material PSP shell as the research object, according to the hole on the shell, reinforcing rib, rounded corners and wall thickness of the main structure characteristics were studied, then analysis the design principles of each structure characteristics in high-gloss molded parts, according to the design principles, select four different levels of each structure characteristics within reasonable range, the models with different combination of structure characteristics were established based on the orthogonal design method, then do experiment under the same die structure and process parameters by using CAE numerical simulation technology in MoldflowIn the process of forming, choose the biggest warping deformation and volume shrinkage rate as the optimization goal, explores the relationship between the structure combination and the optimization goal, and find out the optimal structure parameters combination of each target Finally, by using the integral balance method to analysis and optimize the effect of structure combination on the optimization goal, find out the best parameter combination which satisfied the warpage quantity and shrinkage rate at the same time to achieve a better situation, and validate the result of the analysis, the optimized result shows that the quality and performance of the products was improved.
