In this paper, Na2SO4·10H2O was used as the main phase change agent to prepare gel-like phase change materials based on the sand-like phase change materials. And the dosage of the nucleating agent on the degree of supercooling, the influence of the thickening agent on its phase transition enthalpy have been studied. The results have shown that nucleating agent has a great effect on improving the supercooling phenomenon except too much or too little nucleating agent. Thickening agent could prevent the phase separation phenomenon with an increase amount of thickening agent. The gel-like phase change materials hardly have supercooling phenomenon and phase separation phenomenon. They also have a certain flexibility based on the sand-like phase change material. Meanwhile in this process we have improved the preparation procedure and time, the adjustment order of the raw material, the amount of raw materials, the reaction time, the reaction temperature and the yield of per unit time. Supercooling and phase separation are important factors of the inorganic phase change material application, so encapsulation of phase change materials is a pressing problem. First of all, the scattered water-in-oil emulsion was prepared by solvent evaporation method with inorganic salt hydrate phase change materials as the core material of microcapsule. The material combines the advantages of organic with inorganic materials and try to solve supercooling and phase separation phenomenon of the inorganic salt hydrate phase change materials because solid - liquid phase change materials is easy leaking during phase change process with the disadvantages liquidity. In this way, it also can improve the phase change energy storage characteristics of inorganic salt hydrate phase change materials and thermal cycling stability. Secondly, sealing materials for the encapsulation of phase change materials could be plastic or rubber through microspheres and ice box. Finally, the products can be applied to the construction industry and other industries.
