Drilling is a common machining technique of metallic material. It?s very important to study the drill machining technique in order to raise the productivity and reduce manufacturing cost.This paper explains the development and current station of drillin g machine of multi-spindle, the character of ZK55 series drilling machine, development and current station of drill machining, the meaning of drill machining technique?s study. This paper records the chip morphology and chip breaking status that under diff erent drilling parameter through experiment. Using the software Matlab proceed fitting analysis to discuss the drilling parameter?s influence to chip breaking and proceed confirmatory experiment. Recording the different drilling force that under the differ ent parameter. On the other hand, using software Matlab proceed fitting analysis to discuss the influence from drilling parameter to drilling force and measure surface roughness of inner hole that under different drilling parameter. Using the software M atlab to analysis and discuss the influence from drilling parameter to surface roughness. Testing different machining situation, studying the respond and change of system during various drilling procedure and discuss the influence from drilling parameter to spindle vibration.Though study, when the tool diameter is φ 20, it?s found that chip breaking status is poor when spindle rotate speed is 600 ~ 800r/min. So it should not choose this speed when proceed drilling. However, chip breaking status is good when spindle rotate speed is around 1050r/min and feed rate is 0.18 ~0.3mm/r. During the study of drilling force, it?s found that drilling force is strongly influence by feeding rate, they had positive relation. During the study of surface roughness for drilling, it?s found that the value of surface roughness for drilling is big when spindle rotate speed is around 900r/min.Improve the quality of the drilling when spindle rotate speed increase or decrease. it?s found that the value of surface roughness for drilling is small when feed speed is around 0.2mm/r.reduce the qualit y of the drilling when feed speed increase or decrease. Under the experiment machining condition, spindle rotate speed around 1100r/min and feed rate around 0.2mm/r can not only assure good status of chip break to avoid scratch processed surface and with w ell heat dissipation, but also acquire less the value of surface roughness to enhance cooperation, wear-resistance and sealing, etc. At the meantime, the drilling force and spindle current mean value are moderately under this circumstance.The research result of this paper reveals drill machining technique?s regularity by experiment and also has certain guiding significance for project practice.
