With the demand of application requirements, integrating the ultra-precision machining and replication technology is undoubtedly the most appropriate methodology to realize the mass production of micro-structured optical components. Firstly, the microstructure mould used in replication technology can be processed by ultra-precision machining technology. Then the micro-structured optical components can be achieved by using replication technology. In the process of replication, machining precision of the microstructure mould plays a decisive role in the capacity of optical components. However, superhard materials are difficult to be manufactured, so precision grinding of micro-structure by using grinding wheel is the most effective method for machining these materials.This thesis focuses on the investigation of precision grinding of V-shaped groove on tungsten carbide J05 by using bronze bond diamond grinding wheel, which has high strength and wear resistance. ED Precision Truing experiment was carried out on metal-bonded diamond wheel firstly, then the influence of grinding parameters on grinding result of V-shaped groove was studied through grinding experiment, Meanwhile, the wearing rule of V-shaped tip was studied by analyzing the grinding results based on continuous forming grinding. The main research contents of this thesis are as follows.(1) First, ED Precision Truing experiment was carried out on metal-bonded diamond wheel to ensure the grinding wheel with good cutting performance and high precision of V-shaped tip, and then evaluate the dressing effects.(2) Then face grinding experiment was carried out on tungsten carbide J05 to study the influence of grinding parameters on both grinding force and grinding surface quality; Meanwhile, zero feed grinding experiment was also carried out to study the influence of grinding times on grinding surface roughness, providing artifacts and experimental basis for the following precise machining of V-shaped groove array.(3) The experiments of precision grinding of V-shaped groove were conducted on tungsten carbide J05, investigating the influence of grinding parameters on the bottom arc radius of V-shaped groove and grinding force, then obtain the optimum process parameters based on the test results and pr ecise machining was carried out. Meanwhile, the wear rule of V-shaped tip was studied by analyzing the grinding results based on continuous forming grinding.
