Bronze diamond forming grinding wheel has extremely excellent grinding performance, but it is hard to dress because of its high hardness and strength, which seriously hindered the popularization and application of bronze diamond forming grinding wheel. Compared with other dressing technology, laser dressing grinding wheel technology has incomparable advantages, and it is a kind of advanced dressing technology with great development potential. In this thesis, the pulse fiber laser is used as dressing tool to carry out the V shape and trapezoid groove diamond forming grinding wheel dressing and grinding experiment, and the dressing effect of fiber lasers was evaluated by detecting grinding workpiece surface topography.Firstly, a set of the pulse fiber laser dressing concave surface bronze diamond forming grinding wheel experiment platform is set up, which includes fiber laser, CNC precision grinder, CCD laser displacement sensor and computer, and each part is introduced in detail.Secondly, based on the single factor test, the effect of different process parameters(laser average power, laser beam scanning speed, wheel speed) on forming grinding wheel surface topography is studied. Through the experimental analysis, the process parameters of the laser dressing of Concave Surface bronze diamond grinding wheel are determined in this paper: laser average power is 40 W, laser beam scanning speed is 10 mm/min, grinding wheel speed is 360 r/min.Thirdly, based on the laser focal point of the V shaped groove diamond forming grinding wheel, the optimized process parameters were used to carry out a dressing experiment on the diamond forming grinding wheel with V shape groove at the top width of 1 mm and depth of 0.5 mm. Experiments show that after dressing the actual depth of the V shaped groove is 0.492 mm, bottom corner of the arc radius is 0.06 mm, bottom angle of angle is 89.2 degrees. Meanwhile, it is conclued that the rough dressing of the V shaped groove bronze diamond forming grinding wheel can be achieved by pulse fiber laser.Finally, using the optimized process parameters, the trapezoidal groove diamond forming grinding wheel with different groove bottom width is dressed by the fiber laser, and the corresponding grinding experiment is carried out. The experimental results show that the shape of the grinding wheel can be dressed by the fiber laser based on the NC track of the laser focal point. However, due to the large influence of the fiber laser spot heat affected area, there is a large arc radi us at the corner of the different grinding wheel surface, and the width of the groove bottom is obviously smaller than that the bottom width of the test requirement.
