| Gasab oil field is a common edge-bottom water heavy oil reservoir in Sudan, developed begin in Dec, 2007, with straight hole and cold production, after experienced 3 years production, recovery factor is only 3.88%, but comprehensive water content is up to 50.5%. The field show high production at beginning, quik decending, water content rise fast, low recovery. For the aim of developing the field effectively, adjust develop plan is needed, and oil reserve is the basis of any plan, reserve assessment is an important link for adjust develop plan of this field. Reserve assessment is follow the SPE principle in Sudan, through basis study of structure, geology, reservoir, oil layer and oil-water distribution for Gasab oil field, according SPE reserve assessment principle, finished reserve assessment, offer the basis guaruantee and accurate decision foundation for the further adjust develop plan. |
