With the development of industrialization, our reliance on oil becomes more and more urgent. Reserves of oil is greatly limited, and it becomes less and less with increasing exploitation, which would seriously affect our national energy security. Therefore, developing new sustainable energy instead of oil is very important, which will help us solve oil crisis in the future. Fuel ethanol as one kind of green energy is a good kind of substitute for oil, which can be obtained by biological fermentation. Now many countries have begun to develop fuel ethanol, and have got great achievements in this field. Fuel ethanol in China started later. Although it develops rapidly, there is still a large gap between China and other countries who develop Fuel ethanol earlier. Low productivity and high production cost are two main problems that hampered the development of fuel ethanol in our country. Efficiently improving production equipment and process to reduce ethanol production cost is urgent.In this paper, ethanol production process of Henan Tianguan Biological Engineering Co.Ltd is optimized on the basis of thorough analysis of development of fuel ethanol industry by studying new theories and technologies of the production of fuel ethanol at home and abroad.Firstly, cooking liquefaction process of the fuel ethanol production were analyzed. Analyze the internal temperature of the system, the flow of the materials in the equipment and consumption of steam and circulation water in the process of cooking, and point out the problem existed in the first grade preheat and second grade gas stripping flash cooking manner. A third-grade of preheat and gas stripping flash cooking used to make the heat and water within the system be fully utilized, and the equipment can be used longer, it decreases the cost of enterprise. By this optimized liquefied manner, the liquefaction effect was greatly improved.Then, after a careful research and analysis on the fermentation process, the double-stream multi-stage continuous fermentation was applied instead of original single-stream multi-stage continuous fermentation. In this way, the cycle time was reduced from 64h to 53h; moreover, the utilization efficiency of the device is improved. Inhibitory effect on the bacteria was enhanced by changing the addition way of Penicillin.Finally, the distillation process in the production was analyzed. Differential pressure distillation tower was applied to replace two atmospheric distillation to reduce the consumption of steam. Molecular sieve dehydration is applied to improve quality of the fuel ethanol. Computer control system is applied to realize effective control of production process.
