Land is the most basic material production for human’s existence and development. With the increasing intensity of human social economic activities and utilization of land resources, land ecological environment has been increasingly damaged, and the problems of land ecological safety have become serious. Therefore, the regional land ecological security evaluation researches undertaken are extremely necessary, which has become one of the hot topics of current land study science.Hefei is the study area of research project.According to the land ecological security status and characteristics of core area of industrial transfer demonstration region of the city-cluster along the Yangtze River in Anhui province, on the basis of the DPSIR conceptual model, a 26-item scale has been developed for this project from five dimensions of driving force-pressure-state-impact-response, a land ecological security evaluation indicator system is established. Analytic hierarchy process and improved entropy calculation are applied to determine the basis weight of indicators. According to the theory of variable weights and TOPSIS theory, by the use of variable weights and improved TOPSIS model, a Variable Weight and TOPSIS composite evaluation model is established. And use this model to dynamically analysis and evaluate the land ecological security of Hefei city from 2005 to 2013.Then discuss different evaluation results changes in the case of variable weight parameter values, and analysis the evaluation results and causes. On this basis, this paper provides the corresponding solutions and suggestions for protection of ecological safety and sustainable utilization of land resources. The main conclusions of this paper are the followings:(1) By the use of Variable Weights TOPSIS-DPSIR composite evaluation model to quantitative evaluate and analysis the land ecological security of Hefei city from 2005 to 2013, the conclusions of the study area in line with it actual situation and research ideas and methods are both feasible.(2)The land ecological security index (Ci*) of Hefei city from 2005 to 2013 (from low to high) are C*2005 (0.5152),C*2006 (0.5349),C*2007 (0.5484),C*2009 (0.5551),C*2008 (0.5628).C*2011 (0.5688),C*2012 (0.5706),C*2010 (0.5812),C*2013 (0.5836).Among them, the land ecological security level of Hefei city from 2005 to 2007 is "less security", from 2008 to 2013 is "critical security". On the overall, the pattern of land ecological security presents a upward trend. However, the security situation of land ecological security in Hefei was still not optimistic, and the land ecological security index is instability and low, which between less security (II) and critical security (III). The improvement level of land ecological security was limited and has not been fundamentally improved.(3) For the security situation of each subsystem, the driving force subsystem, the state subsystem, the impact subsystem and the response subsystem of land ecological security in Hefei all showed a fluctuated and gradually increased as a whole. In 2005, only the driving force subsystem is in "critical security" and the rest are in "less security"; in 2013, only the driving force subsystem rising to a safer state, and the rest reached a critical security. However, the pressure subsystem has been in less security during the nine years.(4) Based on the land ecological security evaluation results of Hefei city from 2005 to 2013, this paper analyzes influence factors which restrict the land ecological security of Hefei city improvement.(5) Focused on the main land ecological security problems currently faced by Hefei, this paper considers influence factors the land ecological security in this area, analyzes land ecological security from different aspects including economy, society, and nature, and gives measures and advices on the land ecological security in Hefei city.
