After the furnace tube coking, the tube thermal resistance will increase, the heat transfer efficiency will become worse and the running period of the device will shorten. So it have great significance in diagnosing the tube coking for extending the operation cycle of the device.The tube temperature is often used to be the index to judge the coking degree, this method is easy, while it can not reflects the coking situation for processing. Therefore, some other indexes such as coke-thickness number ect. are developed which can directly diagnose the tube coking. Meanwhile, in order to evaluate the truth of the tube temperuature, a method named coking tube temperature rising is developed.The coke-thickness number method has been inspected by using the test data after the establishment of the basic theories. The results indicate that the coke-thickness number can directly reflect the tube coking situation without the disturbance of processing; Comparing the current coking situation with the last period, relative coke layer thickness number can be used to judge the current coking degree, but it is not suitable for new device; It also can estimate the coking situation by comparing the theory coking thickness with the allowing coking thickness, the disadvantage is data shortage; Also using the relationship between the tube pressure drop and the coking thickness to evaluate the current coking degree. It is found that all the coking temperature rising have decreased for the reason is chosing the unsuitable check point, so it needs further investigation to select reasonable safe point.Based on the above theories, in order to improve the practical and operational of the diagnostic method, finishing the development on the prediction system of the tube coking, using the real data testing the software and obtaining good effects.
