Cutting nozzle is an important part of cutting torch, and its quality affects the service life and the quality of cut pieces. The cutting nozzles on the market are manufactured by machining process, using copper alloy as raw materials. Having a relatively low melting point, the copper alloy material would melt and block the mouth when the flame is reflected during cutting the piece. The material also has a low hardness, so that the service life of the cutting nozzle is reduced. The machining process costs is going higher, and production scale is relatively small. In this paper, the metal injection molding technology is used to produce stainless steel cutting nozzles, for the purpose of a better processing technique and higher quality of cutting nozzles.Ladle is an important metallurgical equipment, which can refine the liquid steel melt from smelting furnace, electric arc furnace, open hearth furnace, or converter. It also can regulate the temperature of the molten steel, transfer between different processes, and meet the requirement of continuous casting and continuous rolling. As the medium container between steelmaking and continuous casting, the ladle is one of the main equipment in the external refining process. In order to improve the quality of continuous casting, the temperature of molten steel in ladle should keep in high levels. Recently, the accidents of ladle happened frequently. In this paper, the temperature distribution of ladle has been studied and analyzed and the structural stress of the ladle is studied.Nowadays finite element simulation has been a relatively mature computer numerical simulation technology. Having the advantage of lower experimental cost and certain guiding significance to the experiment, the numerical simulation analysis method is used more extensively. With the rapid development of personal computer technology, personal computer has been able to meet the requirements of general engineering design analysis, meanwhile reduce the threshold into the field of simulation.The cutting nozzle structure is optimized in this paper. The fluid velocity of cutting nozzle is analyzed by fluid analysis software FLUENT in ANSYS Workbench through the finite volume method, and gas velocity of cutting nozzle in cutting object is analyzed to verify the feasibility of the design.Software CREO is used to design the ladle, with uncovered and covered empty, and full conditions. The steady state thermal analysis and transient thermal analysis of the three conditions are conducted using Workbench ANSYS software. The thermal stress of the ladle is calculated by the previous loading analysis results.
