Polyphenylene sulfide resin as a crystalline thermoplastic polymer with excellent electrical insulation properties, flame resistance, compatibility with other materials and non-toxic, etc., and having balanced mechanical properties and excellent dimensional stability, has become the largest variety of special engineering plastics are widely used in automotive, chemicals, electronics, electrical appliances, precision machinery, aerospace and other related industries. On the world market with an average annual consumption of PPS resin is 15% to 20% annually, prompting related production companies are constantly expanding production facilities, expand production capacity. The current production capacity of the domestic PPS resin is also gradually expanding, however, it still can not meet the domestic market for high molecular weight PPS resin is a strong demand, there are still a considerable part of consumption of imported products. Analysis of the main reasons, one is domestic production of PPS resin purity, molecular weight, etc. also falls short of international standards, limits the application of domestic products, high-end art from abroad still need to purchase high purity and high molecular weight resins; and second, PPS resin synthesized in the presence of some of the problems of production technology, such as the refining process and the difficulties and dehydration of raw materials and other production process instability, gave the actual production has brought great impact; Third, the recovery process is still far from ideal solution aids, greatly increasing the cost of production. Therefore, the study of the polyphenylene sulfide resin synthesis technology and how best to reduce production costs and other issues is particularly urgent.This article on the synthesis of polyphenylene sulfide resin, factors and other issues made experimental studies. First introduced to the current national polyphenylene sulfide resin synthesis route situation; Secondly, various synthetic methods were compared, analyzed, to determine the optimal synthesis route; and also studied several possible catalytic system, then by uniform design experiment investigated various factors to obtain the optimal solution.Study on synthesis conditions in the polyphenylene sulfide resin, while the response factors were also analyzed in detail, and also the experimental data obtained with other commercially available products were compared. Analysis suitable for the chemical synthesis reaction conditions: design synthesized early temperature of 210 ℃, corresponding to 3 hours; synthesized late temperature of 270 ℃, the corresponding time was 2.5 hours; mole ratio: n(Na2S ? 9H2O): n(p-dichlorobenzene) = 1.1(mol): 1(mol); the amount of solvent: n(N- methylpyrrolidone): n(p-dichlorobenzene) = 24.6(mol): 1(mol); additive: n(aid): n(p-dichlorobenzene) = 0.16(mol): 1(mol); strictly in accordance with the above synthesis reaction conditions, it is possible to generate an average yield of more than 93.5% of polyphenylene sulfide polymer resin. And it was characterized to determine the products of high molecular weight crystalline polyphenylene sulfide resin, and high purity, its thermal performance better than market commercially available products.
