With the development of the digital process in the field of mine, building a three-dimensional visualization of mine underground scenes become the promise of achieving the mine’s digital management, production and design. This article uses the coal seam mining project plan made by AutoCAD as experimental data, extracting the basic information needed for three-dimensional modeling of roadway, researching the mine three-dimensional modeling algorithms and WebGL visualization techniques, developed a three-dimensional modeling of roadway and its visualization system(referred as TMRV system), basically achieved mine roadway’s three-dimensional visualization. The main work is as follows:(1)Firstly, expounded the present research status of roadway 3D modeling and visualization technology at home and abroad, pointed out the main problems of current research, and proposed corresponding countermeasures; then analyzing the two-dimensional AutoCAD plan in DXF format, extracted the wire points and roadway elevation and other basic data, obtained roadway skeleton diagram(center line), while bring the extracted roadway basic data in excel spreadsheet in order to accomplish data persistence processing.(2)Comparative analysis of the roadway segment current algorithms, complex roadways would be divided into straight roadways, curved roadways and cross roadways, which will be respectively three-dimensional modeled, using Bezier curve to weaken the curved roadway corner, so the roadway’s transition can be natural and realistic.(3)Analyzed three-dimensional model in JSON format, transferred the previous roadway segment’s skeleton diagram into JSON format roadway segment, then load the JSON format roadway segment on the roadway skeleton diagram which obtain a complete three-dimensional model; using Three.JS engine of WebGL technology to visualize the roadway’s three-dimensional model, and ultimately accomplished the model mosaic, scaling, mapping and other editing functions.(4) Finally take the use of integrated development environment Visual-Studio2010, combining ASP.NET technology, designed and implemented TMRV system, which consists of four functional modules: data extraction of roadway, roadway three-dimensional modeling and generation of JSON formatted three-dimensional roadway model, three-dimensional model dynamic interaction module and roadway model’s editing module.
