In this paper, we fabricated two high-dielectric polymer composites based on core-shell structured carbon/silica nanohybrid. We prepared core-shell structured nano-carbon/SBA-15 materials at by inert atmosphere and high temperature by secondary dipping method. Then, we fabricated nano-carbon/SBA-15-PVDF composites by solution mixing and cold pressing method and studied the dielectric properties. The results show that, the composites have higher dielectric properties while lower dielectric loss. It is indicated that, due to the high conductive carbon core, nonconductive silica shell and the good dispersion of the filler in PVDF, the composites exhibited better dielectric properties than most nano-carbon materials-polymer composites. These experimental results can be understood by the percolation theory and microcapacitor model. Our results provide an effective solution to fabricate polymer composites with good dielectric performances based on carbon materials via controlling the interface between polymer matrix and the nano-carbon materials. We fabricated nano-carbon/MCM-41-PVDF composites by the same method above. In addition, we prepared porous carbon/PVDF composites as a contrast. It is found that, due to the existence of silica shell, nano-carbon/MCM-41-PVDF composites have better dielectric properties and heat stability.
