Facing the an increasingly serious environmental problems,photocatalysis provides an effective mean has been applicated in the field of pollution control and environmental purification at present. TiO2 has many advantages such as high catalytic activity, stable performance, no pollution, cheep and available. It is widely applicated in the organic pollutants degradation field. The composite of ZSM-5 and TiO2 can make up for the shortage of the TiO2, and will be helpful to improve its photocatalytic performanc.In this paper, the preparation and its physicochemical properties of TiO2 and TiO2/ZSM-5 catalyst composite have been studied. The as synthesized samples were characterizated by SEM, TEM, XRD, FT-IR and TG-DTA. The photocatalytic degradation of rhodamine B solution experiment is as the probe reaction for evaluating photocatalytic performance of the above catalysts, and the obtained results are as follows:TiO2 photocatalyst can be prepared in two systems of CTAB and OP-10. The crystal type are both the tetragonal crystal, high crystalline. TiO2 photocatalyst can be prepared in the CTAB system, the sample appearance is a cylindrerl and uniform-sized, the partricle size is about 50 nm. It is mixture of anatase and rutile phase. The proper preparation conditions for TiO2 in this system are as follows: H2 O volume is 18 mL, CTAB dosage is1.739 g, crystallization temperature is 600 °C and the crystallization time is 5 h. When the dosage of TiO2 photocatalyst is 0.04 g, the decolorization rate of rhodamine B can be up to99.4%. TiO2 photocatalyst can be prepared in OP-10 system, the sample appearance is a spheric particle and uniform-sized, the partricle size is about 20 nm. It is anatase. The proper preparation conditions of TiO2 in the system are as follows: H2 O volume is 18 mL,OP-10 dosage is 2.05 g, crystallization temperature is 500 °C and crystallization time is 5h. When the dosage of TiO2 photocatalyst is 0.04 g, the decolorization rate of rhodamine B can be up to 99.6%.TiO2/ZSM-5 composite photocatalyst were prepared in the sol-gel method. TiO2 particles dispersed on the surface of ZSM-5 molecular sieves, which can restrain the increasing of crystalline size. The proper preparation conditions of TiO2/ZSM-5 in the method are as follows: isopropyl alcohol is as the solvent, TiO2 ration in the compositecatalysts is 0.4, crystallization temperature is 650 °C and crystallization time is 5 h. In the catalytic reaction, the TiO2/ZSM-5 dosage of composite photocatalyst is 0.04 g, intial concentration of dye is 4 mg/L, selecting active rhodamine B solution, the maximum decolorization rate of rhodamine B aqueous solution can be up to 99.7%.
