Due to that the high altitude conditions and the poor ecological environment limit the work efficiency and make it difficult to guarantee the quality of the mine filling body, and that the lack of systematic study on the reliability of the filling system also plays a part, the control of the quality of mine filling in the high altitude condition would be vitally significant. The law of the flow and the strength distribution of the filling slurry in the stope is decisive to the rate of top tight filling. And the mechanical properties of the filling body are influenced by the high altitude environment which show a certain specificity. Therefore, it is of great significance to study the safety and efficiency of the mine with high altitude conditions.A large scale three-dimensional simulation experiment device is established, and the similar simulation theory is used to guide the study of the law of the flow settlement of filling slurry. Using the deposition theory to build the prediction-model of the geometry structure of filling slurry flowing, which would be examined by experiment. At last, the results are in agreement with the prediction results. This indicates that the model can be used to predict the flow settling geometry of the filling slurry in the goaf.Some samples was taken from different space position of stope and processed to a standard test specimen. After an analysis of the regulation of strength distribution, there was a discovery that the strength distribution of the filling body was changed in the same horizontal plane in a tendency of decrease to increase and to decrease again. The reason of the difference of the strength of the filling body in different space positions is explained by means of SEM and X- ray diffraction.The influence of temperature, humidity, air density and other factors on the strength of the filling body was analyzed through the experiment on the mechanical strength of the filling body under different curing conditions and a model for the increase of the strength of filling body was set up. Through the simulation experiment in underground mine in high altitude area, a conclusion can be drawn: the whole quality of filling body is almost same in high or low altitude area, the flow characteristics of the filling slurry in high sand ratio was better, with a unconspicuous segregation and a weaker fluctuation of strength of filling body in horizontal direction fluctuation. Combined with the production practice of the copper polymetallic ore, the effective measures were put forward from the aspects of the quality control and process control of the filling body.
