| Coal is the main source of China’s primary energy consumption. The development of clean coal technology will improve the efficiency of coal use and reduce the emissions of pollutants, which has important practical significance to the development of our national economy. Hydrogen, as a non-polluting and renewable secondary energy, has received extensive attention of the world. It is regarded as the most potential clean energy of the 21 st century, and will become the carrier of new energy and other energy.The coal slurry electrolysis is a technology that coal slurry is electrolyzed with the inert catalytic electrode at constant voltage, at the cathode, hydrogen gas is obtained, at same time, carbon dioxide produces at the anode. The study of this technology can solve two major issues, the clean coal use and the hydrogen, which has great research value and broad prospects.In this paper, for the problem of low efficiency of electrolysis coal slurry Hydrogen, and Kinetic Studies are strived to carried to provide guidance and assistance for process improvements. Several important factors including electrodes, acid concentration, temperature, voltage, and additives are researched, the kinetic equations of some factors are fitted with mathematical method. On the basis of in-depth study of the reaction mechanism, we improve the reaction process and do experimental verification. The results show that plating Pt electrode and sintering Pt-Ir/Ti electrode have the best electrolysis effect in the five electrodes, but the latter has poor corrosion resistance and requires a further improvement on the production process. Voltage and acid concentration also have a greater impact on the electrolytic effect, they have a linear relationship with the electrolysis current density in a certain range; the effect of the temperature on the current density is according to the Arrhenius equation. In the condition of the electrolysis voltage 1V, the coal electrolytic activation energy is 31.87kJ/mol. The increase of the Fe3+ concentration can also effectively improve the current density.With a novel electrolysis process, the current density increases from insufficient 10mA/cm2 to 30~40mA/cm2. BET, XRD, SEM, ICP analysis of coal samples and the solution, before and after the reaction, show that some obvious changes appear in the morphology of the coal sample and solution composition during the reaction. In addition, on the basis of the new technology research, a device and process for commercial production is proposed, which has a certain reference significance for future application.In short, the study of influencing factors shows the characteristics of different factors, and provides the basis for the optimization of reaction conditions. The new technology makes the reaction rate has been effectively improved, which can be as a commercial applications for new coal utilization technology. |
