There is a wide range of fruit nursery paper with different performance on the market. Each kind of fruit has its own performance requirements on it. At present, there is no applicable paper for the using of banana fruit. The bagging technology with the plastic bag had been used for banana cultivation many years. The growth environment is unstable with the plastic bag, so it is environmentally friendly to use a paper bag and also could improve the quality of banana fruit. As the growth environment for banana is wet and hot, the paper should have high wet strong, high air permeability and good water-resistance. This article mainly introduce the research process of improving the production technology of the general fruit nursery paper, including the preparation process of fibre, the additive process of chemicals,and the process of sizing. By contrast, we got a complete set of production process of fruit nursery paper suitable for banana.To meet the requirements of using for banana, a process combined with pulp stock internal sizing, wet strength agent adding and surface sizing was chosen in this study. According to the current cutting-edge research, the ASA was used as the internal sizing agent, the PAE was used as the wet strength agent, both the CS and APAM was used as the dual retention agent and the GCC as the filler. By this contrast experiment, the results show that the most suitable internal additive process was as follows: First,adding gelatinous cationic starch solution of 1w.t.% dosage, then the dissolved anionic polyacrylamide solution of 0.05 w.t.% dosage, the alkenyl succinic anhydride diluted emulsion of 2w.t.% dosage, the polyamide epichlorohydrin solution of 3w.t.% dosage and the GCC of 10 w.t.% dosage. Forming paper after the additional agents were added and mixed one by one. Then squeeze and dry the paper. In order to make the paper being environmental and high powered, the methyl silicone emulsion with excellent water resistance was chosen as the surface sizing agent. After the raw paper being impregnated in dilute emulsion for 20 seconds and being baked 5 minutes in the 120 ℃ stove, the finished paper was done. Pass the contrast, the dilute concentration of methyl silicone emulsion for impregnation was 1%. In order to cater to the secondary fiber recycling situation and reduce the cost, the basic stock was mixed by the OCC pulp and the bleached softwood pulp. The proportion is 80:20, and the quantification is 50g/㎡. The beating degree of two types of pulp was 45° SR., mixing thoroughly before use.The properties of the final Fruit nursery paper production for banana are as follows: the quantification is 55.5g/m~2, the coating weight is 2.10g/m~2, the tensile index is 44.4N·m/g, the wet tensile index is 20.4N·m/g, the tear index is 8.3mN·m~2/g, the burst index is 3.19kPa·m~2/g, the porosity is 42.5μm/(Pa·s), the surface water imbibition is 10.2g/㎡, the permeability is 66 s, the opacity is 98.08%, the softness is 187 mN. Compared with the national standard GB19341-2003, the quantification and the tensile strength are not up to the qualified standard, the wet tensile strength and the surface water imbibitions are up to the first-class standard, and the air permeability, the opacity, the soft degree and the permeability are up to the superior standard. In order to verify the endurance quality of the finished paper, the finished paper was placed in the UV accelerated aging machine for 7 hours by simulating exposing to the sun and rain. After testing, the porosity is 39.1μm/(Pa·s), and the permeability is 61 s, it shows that the performance is stable.In order to enhance the tensile index of finished paper, the process had been improved. The proportion of pulps had been changed from 80:20 to 40:60. The properties of the final paper are as follows: the quantification is 55.1g/m~2, the coating weight is 2.27g/m~2, the tensile index is 50.2N·m/g, the wet tensile index is 21.3N·m/g, the tear index is 10.2mN·m~2/g, the burst index is 3.57kPa·m~2/g, the porosity is 28.4μm/(Pa·s), the surface water imbibition is 10.1g/㎡, the permeability is 71 s, the opacity is 97.22%, the softness is 218 mN. All the indexes are up to the qualified standard, and the finished paper could been used for banana fruit.
