Among the components of municipal solid waste, the rapid increase of waste plastics has attracted more and more attention,and carry out sorting the waste plastics in municipal solid waste can effectively solve the harm caused by the waste plastics,so as to reduce the pollution of the whole ecological environment. At present, due to the current of air separation equipment exist unreasonable design in its structure, in addition between air separation equipment and separation techniques exist unreasonable collocation, causes the separation efficiency to reduce, thus affecting the recycling and utilization of waste plastics. In this paper, the present situation of the treatment of waste plastics in municipal solid waste in our country is explored, and its harmfulness and the importance of sorting are analyzed, the running situation of plastic particles is studied at wind area and no wind area in winnowing machine, then the creation of mathematical model of sorting work is finished.Because the city garbage plastic winnowing machine directly affects the sorting efficiency of the whole sorting system, this paper uses the Fluent software to simulate and analyze its process of sorting, using the single factor method, to contrast and research the flow field and separation efficiency of city life garbage plastic winnowing machine working process in different wind speed, wind direction and structure parameters, and then the optimal parameter set is obtained.In view of the problem of low sorting efficiency of the traditional winnowing machine, this paper furtherly improves the structure of winnowing machine, and establishes the dimension parameter table of winnowing machine structure. Putting the running process of plastic waste in before and after the transformation wind sorting machine in the Fluent6.3.26 to carry on the simulation analysis and discussion, by studying the motion trajectory of the plastic particles and the number of captured in internal flow field of before and after the transformation winnowing machine to analyse and compare the size of sorting efficiency, thus the structure of winnowing machine which is improved is more reasonable, and it improves the sorting efficiency of plastic waste greatly.Finally, structural design and solid modeling are carried out for each component of the air separation equipment, then got the three-dimensional model of a new type of air separation equipment through assembling them. And explains its sorting process, provides a foundation for subsequent research and design of the air separation equipment.
