With the acceleration of urbanization process in China,MSW(municipal solid waste)is increasing,and if it is not disposed,a lot of land resources will be taken up,the environment will be polluted,and people's health and quality of life will be affected.MSW in our country is mostly collected by mixing,of which the composition is complex that makes it difficult to dispose directly.It reveals that sorting is necessary before dealing.Therefore,the study of MSW disposal technology and sorting equipment is significant.There are four main study contents of this paper.(1)MSW disposal program and sorting equipment were researched by analyzing its components and characteristics.Sorting equipment is composed of driving device,feeding part,spray device,roller part,winnowing part,gravity separation part,crushing part and receipts part.The food waste,ferromagnetic metal,sand,paper and plastic water in MSW are sorted out through the sorting equipment,and then they would be effectively disposed.(2)Single-phase MSW winnowing was simulated by FLUENT.Density,air speed,air inlet angle and air inlet height were set as variables respectively to simulate the velocity vector and the volume of distribution of garbage phase.The results show that the winnowing efficiency would be better,when the diameter of the phase is 10 mm,the air speed is 15 m/s,the air inlet height is raised above the baseline 150 mm,and the air inlet angle is 10 °.(3)Multiphase MSW winnowing was simulated by FLUENT.The results show that the ratio of the heavy component between the first and second collecting groove is 0.777: 0.223,the ratio of the medium component between the first and second collecting groove is 0.262: 0.738,the ratio of the light component between the second and third collecting groove is 0.007: 0.993.The winnowing efficiency of the light component is increased from 8.3% to 99.3%,compared to the initial model.(4)A scaled experimental platform was built to verify the conclusions of winnowing simulation by single factor experiments and orthogonal experiments.The results show that the winnowing efficiency of the heavy component and the medium component is better with the optimal design and the winnowing efficiency is up to 97.1%By the above research,a program of MSW disposal and a design method of sorting equipments were proposed creatively in this paper.The influence of relevant factors of winnowing conditions and device structure to the winnowing efficiency was studied by FLUENT simulation from various perspectives.The winnowing efficiency of three main components of MSW was simulated by Multiphase-flow simulation,and was verified by experiments.
