The Research On A Systematic Design Driven By Ethnography For Fruit And Vegetable Products

With the age of information coming, the traditional design methods have been too simple to meet the requirements of product design, complicatedly and diversely, in the contemporary era. It is being replaced by the systematic design method of product which establishes the relationship between the various functions or the products of the system. The system contains different products, different functions and their relations. Thus, the author has described the different design and application of relevant design requirement for the system.First of all, when faced with the public consumers, the method of user requirement investigation has been adopted. Ethnography has been applied in the user research and the division of the population. The user characteristic model was obtained through the face-to-face interview and online questionnaire. The methods of AHP and information entropy have been used to determine the weight of demand. The user requirements are translated into technical features through the method of QFD.Secondly, when faced with a product design which is used by a professional, the method of constructing the situation space has been adopted to determine the design direction. Situation space has been constructed by three means: the situational story board, the function-behavior-structure(FBS) model and the method of scene analogy. And the functional solutions of the design scheme have been extracted and summarized from the situation space.At last, the design and manufacture of inner packaging have been finished by reverse engineering, 3D printing and mold processing technology. The shape, logo and decoration about outer packaging have been designed by Illustrator and Photoshop. The principle equipment of persimmon processing and forming has been completed by Pre/E and Keyshot. The feasibility and effectiveness of the Systematic Design had been verified.
