Shape detecting device is a high-end equipment in the Strip production process, it is the "eye" of the on-line plate shape detection, and it is the premise and core to improve the shape quality.This paper is based on the background of the two patents of our research group, the two patents are a closed piezoelectric shapemeter and a comprehensive testing platform of piezolelectirc shapemeter.This paper researched on the ideal value of the roll gap of the shape detecting device and the influence of plate shape defect generator on strip shape in the experimental platform. These two aspects of research has important significance for the development of shape detecting device,to avoid scratch strip in detection process,improve the experimental platform and further study the formation mechanism of the shape defect.This paper used finite element method to study the influence of deflection and temperature field on the roll gap, obtained the influence of strip tension, thickness, temperature and wrap angle on the ideal value of roll gap and obtained the influence of the length of the plate shape measuring roller and hollow roll on the ideal value of the roll gap.The finite element model of the experimental platform is established by using the Marc finite element software to study the influence of plate shape defect generator on strip shape in the experimental platform. The finite element simulation is carried out, and the simulation results are verified by the experimental method. Aiming at the limitation of the experimental platform,the studied of the influence of plate shape defect generator on strip shape in the experimental platform is expand using the finite element method based on the validation of the model.Studied on the influence on strip when the distance between the plate shape defect genetator and the strip shape measuring roll is changed and when the pressure for strip is changed. This research provides theoretical support for the further study of the formation mechanism of the plate shape defects by using experiment method.
