In order to solve the problem in quarry mining, such as low efficiency, high cost and long time for preparation of mining, a new mining technology is put forward, which combines three steps with two types of wire saw machine. The working diameters of bead wire are 30 mm and 11.4mm respectively. The 132 kW wire saw machine is the key equipment in the new mining technology. The purpose of the current study concentrates on the key techniques in design and construction of the super large power wire saw.Based on the theory and method of the reliability design and the function and structure requirements analysis of the machine, the design process and design requirements of the super large power wire saw machine are put forward. The technical parameters, performance and work process of the wire saw machine are determined, with insight into the new quarry mining technology. According to the requirement, function, principle and structure of the circular map, the total function of the wire saw machine is divided into modules, and the overall scheme of the mechanical structure and the PID control scheme of the constant speed and constant current of the spindle are presented.Combined with the present performance and the structural characteristics of the existing type of wire saw machine, the abnormal operation of the wire saw machine is diagnosed and predicted by the FMEA and FTA comprehensive analysis. The key mechanical structure of the weak link, the feed mechanism and the position adjustment mechanism of the driving wheel, is studied and designed by using the TRIZ innovation problem solving theory. Through the comprehensive application of each module size, the three-dimensional map of the super large power wire saw mining machine is design under the environment of UG.Analyses are carried on reliability, optimization, and mechanics of the large power wire saw main motor plate structure with the finite element method. The mining wire saw modal built in UG is imported into Workbench. The data between three-dimensional modal in UG and CAE analysis is collaborative. The main motor plate structure is optimally designed using design of Exploration modal and is reliable designed using probability design system based on variation techniques and parameters of CAD modal controlled by parameters manager.The control system of 132 kW wire saw machine is comprehensively researched and designed based on reliability theory. The automatic block cutting, broken wire and absence of water stopping protection and other functions are obtained by the PID controlling of the constant speed, current of the main motor and real time monitoring of the water level detector.
