The planetary reducer is one of the most important driving part of scraper conveyor, much attention has been paid to its quality. but in recent years, the floating seal of the output of reducer often happen leakage, This phenomenon has seriously restricted the overall quality of scraper conveyor equipment to improve. If in the early days of leakage is not resolved in time, with the development of the leakage condition, because of the severe lack of oil caused damage gear、bearings and other key parts failure, finally make reducer scrap.This paper aims to solve the problem of scraper conveyor drive reducer long-term oil leakage occurs, in-depth analysis and Research on its.Scraper conveyor reducer has a variety of seal types, This paper focuses on the leakage problem of floating seal of the output end.We study the working principle of float seal, combined with the analysis of the causes of the leakage, find out the existing problems of the assembling process、 inspection means and other aspects, put forward the corresponding technical improvement measures. Then selected 4290 type floating seal and the seal chamber, analyzing structural features, to establish a two-dimensional model of sealing parts.First, by analyzing the movement and force, and theoretical calculations, get the reasonable gap value. In order to reflect the actual working conditions and technical conditions, we make a large number of simulation experiments, the experimental data and theoretical data to do comparative analysis. Then we designed a testing device, do the tracking, recording, verification, analysis, get the most reasonable assembly gap value.Above is the research method of 4290 type of floating seal, we use this method to study the other models, and to guide the process of production, and provide the basis for the practical production. As a result, we have effectively solved the problem of early failure of floating seal, greatly improving the service life of the floating seal, in time to avoid problems caused by the oil spill. The method has wide application value, if other companies also use the floating oil seal, which has an important reference.
