CNC system is the core technology of modern manufacturing industry and an important symbols to measure the level of a country’s manufacturing industry. CNC shearing machine is the key production equipment of sheet metal material processing enterprises. Currently, the reliability of domestic CNC system configured for CNC shearing machine is not high, the functional additions and updates of foreign CNC system of that are difficult and its price is high. Being lack of independent intellectual property rights, the market of cutting CNC system has been monopolized by foreign enterprises for a long time. And, for the super large shearing machine, there is no specific supporting CNC system at home and abroad. As the important shearing parameters,the tool clearance and shear angle ues analog indirect detection, whose linear fitting error and precision is bad. Meanwhile, they ues step-control by simple comparison and judgment,whose stability and accuracy is poor. Tool position detection and deformation compensation are mainly realized by manual operation, whose labor-intensive and error is big. At the same time, such kind of simple method seriously affects the shearing production efficiency and quality. How to take effective measures to control and improve the forming precision of super large shearing plate material has become an urgent problem.This paper focuses on the QC11Y-30*15000 numerical control hydraulic guillotine shearing machine, which is being developed by project co-production enterprise. The shearing machine can shear the metal plate with thickness 30 mm,width 15000 mm. Firstly, By deeply researching the CNC system and cutting process of shearing machine, this paper proposed workflow of control system for large shearing machine. Then, combining with main technical indicators of super large CNC plate shearing machine control system, the paper begin to research and design the the numerical control system of super large plate shearing machine based on the Omron Sysmac automation platform equipped with the world’s most advanced technology. The content of the paper includes: edge online etection of shearing sheet and automatic compensation of cutting tool for position deformation, servo-control of cutting tool clearance, biaxial synchronous control of backgauge, software development and construction of the shearing process parameter database.Eventually, through the use of NJ controller and G5 servo drive system of Sysmac automation platform, the paper completed the electrical control system design of super large plate shearing machine, which includes the control system design of tool position automatic compensation, the control system design of tool clearance automatic adjustment, and the biaxial synchronous control system design of backgauge. Through the use of FH visual inspection system of that platform, the visual inspection system design of super large plate shearing edge was completed.Through the use of NS touch screen of Sysmac automation platform, the paper finished Man-machine interface design of super large plate shearing machine, and also established shearing process parameter database of various sheet metal in the super large plate shearing machine. At the end of this paper, the experimental verification and analysis concerned with the content above were implemented with experimental platform.
