Facing the increasingly drastic tire market competition,it is vital for enterprise to energetically improve the production effiency and the automatic degree of the tire building machine.The control of tire building machine has improtant position in whole tire production process and directly affects the quality of the tires.In traditional tire building machine control systems,the frequency converter and normal motors are used in drive system and bonding head is controlled by manual operation and cylinder control,so the joint angle,the location rate,the position of the tire building machine can not meet the demands.For improving the production quality and production rate,the development platform of the tire building machine servo system is set up by American Rockwell Automation Company's devices and the control strategies of the servo system are researched on the hardware and software platforms based on network,according to technological requirements and the characteristics of tire building machine in this paperThis paper main work is as follows:1 The hardware structure of the tire building machine servo system is fully known and the ControlLogix system platform is used as control platform of the servo system.The DeviceNet is choosen as the equipment layer communication network and managing,the distributed I/O,valve terminal and frequency converter,the Kinetix6000 series servo driver and MPL series servo motor are choosed in the servo system;the ControlLogix system platform is choosen as control platform of the servo system.2 The programming and configuration of the motion controller is achieved by RSLogix5000 software on the hardware platform of servo system,including the setting of motion controller communication,the configuration of network modules,the configuration of axes,the building of the tags variable system and the compiling of motion procedure.The basic function program of tire building machine can be achieved by RSLogix5000 software,including communication,data exchange from HMI,accepting the recipe,drum moving,laying,transmitting,cutting and storage.The basic function of the tire building machine servo system can also be achieved by RSLogix5000 software,including the hookup of axes,the tune of axes,the home setting of axes,the running of basic action and alarm feedback.3 The control strategies of the servo system are researched on the hardware and software platforms based on network in this paper.The torque/current control,velocity control and position control are mainly researched.The parameters of traditional controller are collocated reasonably and optimized according to the mathematical model of the controlled object,and the well control effect was obtained.The actual running results show that the servo control system can achieve the setting of scores of key technical parameter such as joint angle,orientation speed,lacation.All the tire technical demands,technical parameters can be send to the building machine.At the same time the datas and equipment state produced in manufacturing process also can be refered to management.Consequently the system achieved real time monitor,control and manage.The servo control system shorten the product period obviously,reduce the production costs and reduce the labor intensity.
