Coal mine Shilawusu is around 680 m deep.Mining working face 2-2up201 is the first working face in the mine. Field research shows air return for mining working face 2-2up2012-2 201 has large cross section(width 5m, about 4m high).surrounding rock has joint development. O verally it has low intensity. Therefore, this article is based on geological conditions of air return for mining working face 2-2up2012-2 201 in the Coal mine Shilawusu. It studies deformation law of roadway surrounding rock with joint development and large section.Through using combining of laboratory experiments, theoretical analysis, numerica l simulation and field measurement method, It optimize the parameters related to support.Effective control technology is made up.(1) It analyzes theoretically that joint and mining has the influence on strength plastic zone and displacement of mining roadway surrounding rock, and gives theoretical formula.(2) It simulated roadway deformation law under different joint angle conditions with UDEC numerical software.The results showed that roadway surrounding rock with the main joint angle 15° has the maximum deformation.(3) It with FLAC3 D simulated excavation and mining in the Coal mine Shilawusu.It analysis deformation law of roadway surrounding rock in the coal mine seam with joint development.(4) It made bolting supporting parameters the according to the theoretical formula, and optimized roadway support parameters with UDEC. It finalizeed bolting parameters for supporting top row spacing 800 mm × 900 mm, Bseides row spacing 900 mm × 900 mm.(5) The findings applied in the coal mine. Results of Observation shows that deformation of surrounding rock has been effectively controlled in the drift.
