Surface plasmon resonance effect of gold nanoparticles enables light response properties of the gold nanoparticles. Based on surface plasmon resonance absorption of gold nanoparticles, the resonance can be used in the process of energy conversion of photothermic effect as a driving source of a shape memory polymer deformation.Polyvinyl alcohol is a kind of polymer material with good biocompatibility. Shape memory polymers based on polyvinyl alcohol are prepared by chemical crosslinking method in the paper. Furthermore, with the addition of the gold nanoparticles, light-induced PVA/Au NPs shape memory polymer composite.is fabricated.Spectroscopy analysis, electron microscopy analysis, thermal analysis, dynamic mechanical analysis are The surface morphology of the gold nanoparticles, particle size distribution and surface plasmon resonance effect are analyzed and characterized. And the paper have discussed the photothermic conversion phenomenon in the process of gold nanoparticles surface plasmon resonance theoretically. Analysis and characterization of the microstructure information, thermal performance and shape memory performance of Polyvinyl alcohol shape memory polymers and shape memory polymer composites are conducted. And the shape memory recovery effects are evaluated by optical experiments.The paper designs and assembles a kind of microfluidic device in which PVA/Au NPs SMPC materials are applied as the actuator of the microfluidics. A grooved structure is fabricated with PVA/Au NPs shape memory polymer. The microfluidics are assembled by a "sandwich" structure. The paper has tested shape memory effects of the microfluidic device based on PVA/Au NPs SMPC. The results show a good flow ability of the micro flow in the channel, which the flow is mixed and reacted well. At last, the paper achieves a non-contact microfluidic device driven method by light-induced fluid control.
