Super Aurum show better trend in development than AURUM due to its higher temperature of deformation and better crystallization property. 1,3-bis(4’-aminophenoxy)benzene (BAPB) as the key diamine monomer for preparation super Aurum is widely used in the materials and dyes, and it is signality to develop its synthetic and industrial technology.To achieve industrialization and lower production costs synthetic polymer grade purity diamine monomer BAPB, compared with only two synthetic routes, route selection process and better reaction conditions. The novel technology of preparing high purity BAPB was systematically studied by the condensation of resorcinol and 4-nitrochlorobenzene, and the hydrogenation of 1,3-bis(4’-nitrophenoxy)benzene, trial production and technical development were completed for the industrialization of BAPB 100T/a. The results showed that imitate synthetical BAPB had total yield of 84.12% and purity of 99.5%, and commercial product reached total yield of 86.41% (based on resorcinol) and polymer-grade quality. This process had the properities of cost-saving and environmentally-friendly, the quality of the product was also ranked on the top of polym.monomer in domestic market.On the basis of synthetic polymer grade monomer BAPB was obtained, beginning Super Aurum preparation and characterization of materials, characterization and determination of performance. The results showed that super Aurum(golden powder) with stronger crystallization property and high temperature resistance can be prepared by chemical imidation of l,3-bis(4-aminophenoxy)benzene(BAPB)、3,3’,4,4’-bisphenyltetracarboxylic dianhydride(BPDA) and phthalic anhydride as the starting material. It exhibited intrinsic viscosity 1.25dl/g、crystallization temperature 347.5℃、melting point 398℃. It exhibited intrinsic viscosity 0.71dl/g、Tg 209℃、crystallization temperature 327.5℃、melting point 385.2℃if be prepared by thermal imidation.
