With the rapid development of construction industry in China, the waste concrete is also growing, and how to dispose these waste concrete is a hot potato and need settle urgently for the government of our country. Recycled concrete is made of recycled aggregate, instead of natural aggregate, it is not only solve the problem of recycling waste concrete, and also solve the coordinated development of resources and environmental problems. In order to apply recycled concrete to structural engineering, the research on basic properties and seismic behaviors of recycled aggregate concrete are obligatory. After the basic properties of recycled concrete is studied, the recycled concrete is the basic material, and the calculation model of frame structure is established to study the seismic behavior. The main research works of the paper are as follows:(1) On the basis of the study of recycled aggregate preparation, the six performance indicators of three different lives for recycled coarse aggregate are mainly studied, such as surface structure, particle gradation, apparent density, bibulous rate, crush value and porosity, with the comparative analysis of natural aggregate, and the results have shown that the apparent density of three recycled aggregate is slower by 10% than natural aggregate, the bibulous rate is greater by 1.65%, the crush value is greater by 8.42%, the porosity is greater by 2.88 times. Based on this, combined with performance requirements of recycled coarse aggregate in other countries, the multi-class classification method of recycled coarse aggregate is proposed by the impurity content, apparent density and bibulous rate.(2) The mechanical properties of recycled aggregate concrete are studied with the replacement rate of 0%, 30%, 50%, 70% and 100%, such as the cube compressive strength, prism compressive strength, splitting tensile strength, flexural strength and modulus. The test results have shown that with the replacement rate of recycled coarse aggregate, the cube and prism compressive strength are gradually increased, the splitting tensile strength has decreased to some extent, and the modulus is gradually decreased. Combined with the analysis of test data, the conversion relationship between the prism compressive strength, splitting tensile strength, flexural strength, modulus and the cube compressive strength are established.(3) By the aid of the nonlinear analysis theory of reinforced concrete and the finite element analysis software, the seismic behavior of frame structure are analyzed, and then the seismic design advice for frame structure of recycled concrete, it would provided some theoretical basis for the actual recycled concrete structure engineering.
