In Seawall engineering, the height of Anti-wave wall is an important factor which is directly related to its security, stability, investment and landscape sometimes, while Wave run-up is the main factor to the the height of Anti-wave wall. The higher wave runs up, the higher Anti-wave wall elevation is. In order to lower the elevation of the Anti-wave wall effectively, it is necessarily.scientifically and reasonably to reduce wave run-up by take some measures of dissipation wave. This will not only save the project investment, but also improve the security and stability of Anti-wave wall. The Principle of wave run-up is the process of Kinetic energy changing into Potential Energy. Water will be suit for Bernoulli equation in different sections while wave runs up. Seeing from the Bernoulli equation, increasing surface roughness will increase processing head loss that can play the role of dissipating wave so that it reduce wave run-up effectively. The main content of this paper are as follows:Firstly, establishing mathematical model and selecting optional numerical algorithm of wave and elaborating the relationship between various elements of the wave by theoretical analysis of wave.Secondly, in this paper, physics wave-generating method and source wave-generating method respectively are used to build Two-dimensional numerical wave flume that achieves the process of linear regular waves’generating-absorber, based on FLUENT software. In the two methods, the Reynolds time-averaged N-S equation is solved and combined with RNG k-ε model to make turbulence numerical simulation with the VOF method for free surface tracking. It can conclude that source wave-generating has advantage in practical application through theory tested and compared to each other. Making simulation of wave force by source wave-generating method acting on crown wall and comparing with experimental data confirm that the Two-dimensional numerical wave flume is feasible in practical application. Finally, taking paling-boards as an example which is commonly used in seawall engineering, the impact of roughness on wave run-up and the relationship between the wave height and the slope ratio are studyed and wave dissipation mechanism is concluded.
