With the increasing fast development and opening process of Tianjin BinhaiNewArea, the demand of land source is more and more pressing. Recent yearsthere are large amount of reclamation land-making. The dredger fill foundationoften needs to be strengthened without the process of sun-cure. That raises a newrequirement to the traditional vacuum preloading method, the first of which is theproblem of work pad.Nowadays, Tianjin port area vacuum preloading work pad usually adopts themethod of backfill soil or dredging silty-fine sand. Recent years, with thecontinuous expansion of dredging land-making engineering area, the demand tosoil and dredging sand rises dramatically, which leads to short supply of padmaterial and price rising, which in turn increases the cost of dredging land-making.At the same time, Tianjin port has plenty sources of channel dredging soil, so it isurgent to make the research of improving dredger fill to become useful soil forwork pad.Aiming at above situation, the following aspects are studied in emphasis:(1)Basing on the character ofTianjin Port Area dredging land-making,analyses the settlement character of dredger fill. Study the microstructure ofTianjin Port Area dredger fill, analyze the chemical component and mineralcomposition of dredger fill. Study the statistics of physical mechanics indexes ofTianjin Port Area dredger fill, obtain the variation range, mean value, standarddeviation, variable coefficient of all indexes and the experience formula ofrelevant indexes, provides the base for analyzing reengineering soil.(2) Analyzing the main characters of work pad, combining work site practicereality, propose several new method of work pad. (3) Study Tianjin Port Area reengineering soil, basing on project experienceof Port-surrounding industrialArea, proved the feasibility of reengineering soil.Basing on that propose the conception of large area reengineering soil, introducethe detailed construction process, analyze the application conditions, createconditions for large area reengineering soil in the future.(4)Do research aiming at vacuum preloading effective strengthen depth,basing on which propose the scheme of reengineering soil using vacuumpreloading.
