Spacecraft works in the space environment of large difference temperature, highvacuum and high radiation, and its running state and force conditions are affected. Thisdissertation take the output joint of the space station large-scale mechanical arm as theobject of study, breaking through the past analysis mode in a single condition. In order toprevent bearing destruction owing to the too-large or too-small clearance, the paper focuson bearing clearance variation of joint under the coupling influence of alternatingtemperature, rotation speed and bearing load three factors, ensuring the safety andreliability of space joint, so as to reduce the probability of failure of space mechanism.The main contents of the paper are as follows:First of all, aiming at the bearing of space joint, analyzing its internal geometryrelationship and calculating the geometry parameters by the classical Hertz contact theory,then the ball load distribution and contact parameters values in radial direction and axialdirection load will be acquired;Secondly, making force characteristics analysis of space mechanical arm, andcalculating the maximum axial load of bearing capacity. The bearing clearance changeregulation under axial load are obtained based on the traditional Hertz contact theory andthe finite element software ANSYS Workbench, then make comparison and verification ofthe two;Furthermore, according to working environment of the bearing, the heat transfermode is determined through the heat transfer theory, and the thermal load is calculatedbased on the frictional heat, then applying the thermal load in finite element model, usingsoftware ANSYS Workbench to calculate the bearing temperature field distribution. Andthen respectively studies the variation tendency of bearing temperature field withalternating temperature, rotation speed and bearing load three factors;Finally, based on the known bearing temperature field distribution, using softwareANSYS Workbench make thermal-stress coupling analysis of the bearing, the bearingclearance evolution can be ultimately obtained in the conditions of different environment temperature, different bearing rotation speed and different bearing load.
