Angular contact ball bearing is an important support part of mechanical transmission and load bearing,which is widely used in manufacturing equipment industry,aerospace and others.With the rapid development of modern machinery,the performance of a bearing system is being required higher and higher.The heat problem inside the bearing is the main reason for limiting its performance.The excessive heat generation can cause the increase of the temperature,which lead to the deterioration of the lubricant,wear and tear,and even lead to rolling contact surface burns and damage of the bearing.For high speed angular contact bearing,spin sliding is an important factor to cause friction and heat generation,which has a significant effect on the bearing temperature field.Therefore,the quantitative analysis of the spin heat and the study of the temperature field distribution and thermal stress field with spinning are particularly important for analyzing the reason of bearing failure and guiding the bearing design.In this paper,following works were carried out on the basis of the thermodynamic characteristics of the high speed angular contact ball bearing with considering spin heat generation:1)The paper described the theory of quasi-static analysis and kinematics analysis of high-speed ball bearing firstly.The 218 angular contact ball bearing made by SKF was used as the research object.The mechanical parameters such as contact angle and contact load and the kinematic parameters such as bearing revolution,rotation and spin speed were calculated under different working conditions,which provided the necessary foundation for the friction heat generation and temperature field analysis of the bearing.2)Based on the quasi-static analysis and kinematics analysis,the calculation model of high speed angular contact ball bearing friction heat generation was studied.By analyzing the factors of heat generation in the bearing,the heat generation model of the high speed ball bearing combined with the spin heat was established.And the contribution of spin heat generation on the total heat generation was discussed.It's verified that considering spin sliding heat is necessary in high speed bearing.3)The finite element model of 218 bearing was established in software ANSYS.At first,the static method was analyzed and the correctness was verified by comparison with the theoretical value.Then,the temperature field and thermo-stress coupling on the high speed angular contact ball bearing were analyzed,and the effects of spin sliding,speed and load on the bearing temperature field were discussed.The result of this paper has great significance for accurate thermal analaysis and week points prediction of high speed ball bearing.
