Earthquake response of large-span continuous rigid frame bridges and someconclusions were discussed in this paper, and all those works were conducted by anFEM model, modeled in a large structural analysis software, Midas/Civil. The mainpoints of this paper are as follows:①An FEM model was modeled by Midas/Civil to analyze eigenvalues, in order toobtain natural frequency, period, mode of vibration of the bridge and analyze its naturalvibration properties.②Analysis on seismic response of large-span continuous rigid frame bridges, include analysis on seismic response in different load cases by response spectrummethod and time history method; comparison on results computed by two methodsabove, in a same load case; a suggestion that how to choose a proper method in design.③Building pier height of four different models, using analysis on seismicresponse in different load cases by response spectrum method, studying the law throughthe key section of the internal forces.④Set lead rubber bearings (LRB) at abutments on two ends of the bridge, then bycomparison of internal force on sections at bearings before and after damping bynon-linear time history method, a conclusion that stress is more reasonable on sectionsat bearing by setting LRB.
