| With all kinds of complicated structures appear constantly, the small earthquakeselastic design method and the small earthquakes seismic measures for the conventionalstructure can’t ensure the safety under severe earthquake in the specification,we needto assess the performance of the structure under the severe earthquake elastic-plastictime history analysis.At present,There are many kinds of the software that can cananalyze elastoplastic implementation under the severe earthquake.But they can can bedivided into two categories,one is building structure analysis software to elastic plasticanalysis;the other is the general finite element analysis software.In the actual project thetwo kinds of software are used widely.However, structural engineers found that thereare differences between the calculated results when using different software, andsometimes difference is very big, even the same software and different analysts willgive different results, differences also vary from person to person in using theseelastic-plastic time history analysis software.That arises how to evaluate the results ofvarious software, and find the reason of the difference of the results of the calculation.Inthis context, the authors of the this paper have used ABAQUS that is representative ofbuilding structure analysis software to elastic plastic analysis and PERFORM-3D that isrepresentative of the general finite element analysis software to model and analyze thesame same model.Then the results of two analysis software was compared from themacroscopic and microscopic,and the differences of the two software waspenetrated,The reason of the difference between the two software calculation resultswas analyzed, the two software reliability was evaluated.To this, the authors of thepaper have dong the following work:①the theory of finite element method have been researched more systematic anddeeply.②I have researched ABAQUS in elastic-plastic time history analysis and therelated technical measures.③I have researched PERFORM-3D in elastic-plastic time history analysis and therelated technical measures.④I have researched the way that How to transform ETABS program data toABAQUS program data, to facilitate the analysis modeling of large-scale structuralsystem. And the actual project verify the accuracy of the way. ⑤I have discussed the differences between ABAQUS program and thePERFORM-3D program by comparison with the actual project.Through the above research work, the following main conclusions have been draw:①the nonlinear beam and column elements are similar between ABAQUS andPERFORM-3D by using the fiber model in the calculation of the model at this time,andthe very big difference is that the mechanical properties of the cross section of beam ishow to receive by the integral.The model of Shear wall in the two kind of software isdifferent.ABAQUS considers the combination of axial force, bending moment and shearforce,and the material use space elastic and plastic damagemodel.However,PERFORM-3D do not consider coupling of shear,it considers thecombination of bending moment and axial force by using the fiber model that is Similarto column model,and considers the influence of shear force By shear hinge.②the different of two software considering element division method lead todifferent reinforced yield situation.③Explicit dynamic analysis method is used in ABAQUS when structure islarger.However,PERFORM-3D can only use implicit dynamic analysis method that leadto nonlinear difference between ABAQUS and PERFORM-3D,and that is one reasonABAQUS can well reflect whiplash effect but PERFORM-3D can’t.④under the influence of no whiplash effect, the story drift angles’ trend thatABAQUS and PERFORM-3D calculate is consistent.The floors that max story driftangle appears are consistent and story drift angle difference here is relativelysmall.However,the tory drift angles at bottom floor are different very large.⑤the base shear trend between the two software is consistent,but there are phasedifference,and the peak value occurred in ABAQUS is earlier than the PERFORM-3Dnormally.Essentially there are different between the two software in the dynamicanalysis method.⑥The macro indicators that obtained by the two software is reliable,and thereliability can confirm each other.the reliability at microeconomic indicators isdetermine by the method of calculation and dividing element.However,Elastic-plastictime history analysis can only be used to determine the Macro performance of thestructure, cannot be used in micro structure design by today’s technology. |
