Road roller is an indispensable compaction machinery in the infrastructure, such ashighway, city roads, dam, airport runway, railway and other projects etc. With thehigh-speed development of high-grade highway, the quality of the road putting forwardmore and more especially in the quality of road pavement quality, and also puttingforward higher requirements for roller quality. For the superior nonlinear elasticitycharacteristic and good vibration reduction performance of the oil and gas suspensionsystem,it can well meet the requirements of engineering vehicles. In a word, carryingout the study of oil and gas suspension system, has the vital significance for improvingthe overall performance of pneumatic tyre roller.This paper introduced the structure characteristics and working principle of the oiland gas suspension system, and putted out the mechanics model of the system, thenestablished the sytem’s nonlinear mathematical model, after this came to the numericalsimulation of relationship between the sytem’s output force of the piston rod and thepiston displacement and velocity relationship, finally summarized effect of the relatedparameters on it’s displacement characteristics and speed characteristics.On the basis of the nonlinear mathematical model for the oil and gas suspensionsystem built in this paper, setted up the mathematical model of the nonlinear stiffnessand nonlinear damping properties of the oil and gas suspension system. Carried out thesimulation of the nonlinear stiffness and damping properties of oil and gas suspensionsystem, analyzed the influence law of the oil and gas suspension system’s incentiveparameters, structural parameters and working parameters with the nonlinear stiffnessand the nonlinear damping properties, the linearization formula of oil and gassuspension stiffness and damping are given for car suspension system dynamicsmodeling as a reasonable stiffness and damping parameters.Respectively setted up half a quarter of two degrees of freedom and four degrees offreedom vehicle dynamics model, then studied under two kinds of model car bodyacceleration, and suspension dynamic deflection and tyre dynamic load curves of timedomain simulation. Carried out simulation analysis on the vehicle ride comfort, basedon half four degrees of freedom dynamic model.
