The brake treadle used frequently during vehicle moving, its manufacturingquality related to driving safety directly. The main body is a stamping plate with oneend non-separated connect to a tube which for treadle shaft through. Traditional wayof connection is welding, there are some problems such as reduced materialperformance, low production efficiency, etc. Therefore, it is necessary to develop ariveting or other quality assured and more efficient production process.This paper put forward and did a preliminary study of tube two-segment bulgingriveting plate connection technology,the main content is as follows.(1) Briefly introduced the bulging and riveting process related to this study, andthe characteristics of two kinds of connection are summarized, analyzed.(2) According to the panel characteristics of three spline circumferential uniformdistribution,the author used three-dimensional modeling software CATIA constructedan1/6circle numerical model,at last a numerical simulationof tube two-segmentbulging riveting plate process carried out by a finite element analysis softwareDeform-3D.The deformation zone forming force-stroke, equivalent stress and strain,degree of damage had been analyzed, and the influence on the effect of pipe thicknesson forming had been tested by group.(3) The representative characteristic data of the tube had been analyzed throughthe Deform-3D point tracking function. Study shows that the deformation regionstress and strain value is much higher than the non-deformation region, the firstdeformation region stress and strain value is generally higher than the afterdeformation region, and the closer to the sheet metal the greater stress and strain.(4) For simulation study found the phenomenon that the notch of rectanglespline hinder deformation of tube billet and the tube billet easily broken,according toinvolute spline model, modify the internal spline shapes and carry out furthersimulation study.The results show that the modified shape of the inner spline can beincreased sheet-contacting surface of the tube,to improve the connection process,making the tube more uniform force,thereby enhancing the stability of the connecting member.(5) The mould,parts of aluminum and copper had been designed andmanufactured with reference to the result of the numerical simulation.The experimentverified the effectiveness of the numerical simulation,and got high similar parts to thenumerical simulation.It proved that the tube two-segment bulging riveting platecomposite process can get high quality, high efficiency fittings.This paper verified the feasibility and importance of the tube two-segmentbulging riveting plate by the method of combining experiment research, numericalsimulation and theoretical analysis, and satisfactory results are obtained. From theideal state of numerical simulation to the actual state of physical experiment, it provethat this technology can achieve good forming effect, can provide reference value foractual production.
