It is significant for the shock absorber system to assure the safety of the airplane and passengers’comfort when its landing. The oil damping device is adopted as the damping device nowadaysbecause it can well absorb the vertical energy during the airplane landing. However, given thecomplex of the liquid flow, the concise analysis of the damping device faces some difficulties. Thedamping numerical calculation of the shock absorber is linked to determine the absorbing energyefficiency and other dynamic problem. However, it is difficult to determine the oil dampingcharacteristics of the landing gear shock absorber. So how to calculate the oil damping characteristicsof the landing gear shock absorber precisely before the experiment is the main research goal of thispaper.Based on the dynamic net technique, the numerical simulation of the single-acting shockabsorber was given to compare with the engineering calculation. According to the method above,some factors such as the chamfer and shape of the oil orifice was considered to analyses the influenceto the damping force. After that, the relationship between different orifices was set up and put theminto the dynamic analysis. Comparing the results above with the engineering calculation, it is theconclusion that two results matches well.At last, a concrete shock absorber was given as a case to simulate the internal flow field of theshock absorber according to the previous model. The damping force was exerted into a new dynamicsimulation. The result is close to the previous one.
