The aerodynamic performance is of essential importance in aircraft design, especially for moderntransonic civil aircraft, as the shock will induce very complicate flow structure around the airplane. The shock will also cause the lift characteristic and drag characteristic change dramatically. As amatter of fact, the traditional design method can hardly satisfy the designing needs considering thesenew changes. Computation Fluid Dynamics (CFD) has matured a lot recently, and has been widelyused as a new strategy for aerodynamics performance analysis. This paper uses this technique tosimulate the aerodynamic performance. A method of numerical optimization method is adopted forthe designing of wing. The Wing-Body interference is also considered is this paper.Foreign large civil plane can be very meaningful for our understanding of aerodynamic design. Thepaper has used Airbus A380as the object and reconstructed the model using the three orthographicviews and different pictures. Analysis its lift and drag characteristics and other aerodynamicperformance using the CFD techniques. The main component affects aerodynamic performance is wing and fuselage. The wing contributesmost to the lift and drag when under transonic flow. Its design method is an important aspect ofaerodynamic design. Airfoil is a fundament element of wing. This paper also considers theoptimization, as well as the inverse design of it using numerical optimization method. As the wingdesign, we consider the airfoil configuration, as well as the numerical optimization of twist angle ofdifferent section. A general rule of twist angle was concluded. Other design experiences were alsoadopted in this paper to verify their applicability in transonic wing design. As the appearance of shock, the interference of wing and fuselage become more important. Wheninstalled to the fuselage, the aerodynamic performance of optimized wing deviates from its designingpoint. We further demonstrate that the flow over the wing have changed as the existence of fuselage. The effect of fuselage should be considered when designing the wing, or using the wing-body as theoptimization objects.
