Urban transport system is the survival carrier of whole city, improving performance of urbantransport system effectively and providing better transport services to the public is the goal forresearchers all over the domestic and foreign have been exploring. Studing the structuralcharacteristics of the complex traffic system using complex network method, can provide a newplatform for urban development planning and new ideas to ease the pressure on urban trafficcongestion. This paper mainly analyses the structural characteristics of public traffic network ofNanjing City. First, based on statistical data in Nanjing transit system to build the network of Nanjingcity bus docking sites, whose nodes are docking sites and edges are the relationship between dockingsites, Analysis the weighted network of bus docking sites in Nanjing using static statistical parametersabout degree and degree distribution, clustering coefficient, the average path length. Secondly, studythe community structure of the weighted network of Nanjing city bus docking sites based oncommunity classification algorithm of complex network. Finally, with the simulation of random andselective attack of the weighted network of Nanjing city bus docking sites based on the reliabilityindex. The results of static topological characteristics of the network showed that the weightednetwork of Nanjing bus docking sites has the characteristics of both small-world and scale-freeproperty. The results of community structure characteristics of the network showed that the weightednetwork of Nanjing city bus docking sites with community structure characteristics, and the majorityof the communities contain few bus sites, large communities are few. Most sites are adjacent to thebus station and the connection between docking sites in the interior of each community are close,while the docking sites between different communities with sparse connections. The results ofconnectivity reliability of the network showed that the weighted network of Nanjing city bus dockingsites is robust in random attack mode, while vulnerability in selective attack mode.
